Navigating the role of clinical instructor for contract and new clinical instructors can be intimidating. This series of webinars will focus on various real-life topics and skills that instructors need. The presenters are clinical instructor leaders from across the country.
Part 1. Building your Capacity as a Clinical Instructor:
This session will focus on the foundational skills that new instructors need to navigate the complex role of clinical instructing. Using a framework of clinical instruction to explore the roles, this session will highlight the importance of communication skills in feedback, debriefing, reflection, and promoting critical thinking.
Part 2. Trauma Sensitive Teaching Strategies. Creating Brave Spaces for Students to Thrive:
This interactive session encourages the participants to reflect on their own power and privilege, and find efficient ways to support students from diverse populations. The goal is to encourage participants to intentionally build learning spaces that facilitate growth, support challenges, and build resiliency.
