This course aims to introduce the fundamental principles of simulation pedagogy, enabling the delivery of effective and stimulating learning experiences. It offers those involved in nursing education the opportunity to develop basic skills as a simulation trainer. The stages of planning and implementing simulation activities in the context of nursing will be discussed, in relation to the four roles assumed by the simulation trainer designer, organizer, facilitator, evaluator. The benefits and challenges linked to different simulation modalities will be discussed, and participants will be asked to analyze best practices in briefing and debriefing. Readings or short asynchronous capsules will be offered in preparation for the synchronous sessions.
Participation in three live course webinars, in the weekly courses discussion forum and submission of two learning activities.
