About the Fellowship

The Canadian Nurse Educator Institute (CNEI) Fellowship program’s objective is to acknowledge the exceptional high-caliber of nurse educators who exemplify excellence. The CNEI Advisory Board is now accepting applications for those individuals who wish to be considered as Fellows of the Canadian Nurse Educator Institute. Individuals who are inducted as Fellows form a distinguished network of outstanding nurse educators in Canada who have contributed to nursing education in sustained and significant ways.

Fellowship Categories

  • Fellows: Those meeting the criteria and eligibility criteria described above.
  • Inaugural Fellows: past Pat Griffin Scholars and Ethel Johns Award winners from 2012 – 2016.

Recognition

  • All Fellows are encouraged to use the title in their official correspondence (FCNEI – Fellow of the Canadian Nurse Educator Institute).
  • All Inaugural Fellows are encouraged to use the title in their official correspondence (I-FCNEI – Inaugural Fellow of the Canadian Nurse Educator Institute).
  • Fellows will be inducted at the Council meetings with a pinning ceremony.
  • Fellows will be recognized on the CNEI website and at each CASN Nursing Education Conference and Council meeting
