Aspire to Inspire: Pursuing a Career in Nursing Education

An exciting new opportunity for CASN member schools and students!

The Student and Faculty Survey compiled by CASN each year shows a trend of decreasing faculty supply for an every-growing need in Canadian schools of nursing.  How do we encourage nursing students to consider graduate studies and then teaching as an exciting career path?

In this lunch and learn, CASN has arranged for students to hear from two up-and-coming nurse educators on their experiences in pursuing a career in nursing education.  Kathryn Halverson and Ainsley McQueen of Lakehead University will share with participants their own personal journeys through graduate school and teaching, in hopes of inspiring the next generation of nurse educators.
